It seems 35mm cameras are becoming old relics in this digital age. Even though film is still technically better quality (and associated higher cost) than any digital camera out there, the gap is getting so small as to be indistinguishable. Especially with RED coming out with their new super high resolution digital movie cameras, the cost of creating a film is a mere fraction of what it used to be, even just 10 years ago.
In my experience, I can count on one hand the amount of times I have been involved in a filming that used a real film camera. Though, once you have experienced it, you can always remember the familiar whirring of the 35mm film clicking through the camera.
